Jason Maggied grew up in the greater Seattle area and had a great passion for snowboarding from a young age. Starting at the age of nine, Jason began regular trips up to the local ski slopes. Moving into Seattle at 18, with limited transportation for the ski resort, he began riding track bikes in his spare time. After attending local track bike event Fast Friday for some time, in an effort to put back into his community, he took on some of the responsibilities in the planning and facilitating of the event, which had an attendance of anywhere from 50 to 150 participants and spectators. After meeting Colin and Colby through the event, he began talking with them about traveling to San Francisco to film a part for their video. After a week of filming in SF with hometown friend (and fellow Macaframa rider) PJ Wiebusch, he decided to make the move down to San Francisco in the summer of ’08, at which point he completed the filming of his video part.
